Quyết Nghị Đại Hội

QUYẾT NGHỊ ĐẠI HỘI

 Hơn 26 thế kỷ trước, Đức Thế Tôn đã vì lợi ích cho chư thiên và loài người, vì sự an lạc, giải thoát cho muôn loài chúng sanh. Ngài từ bỏ ngai vàng điện ngọc, tìm đạo để cứu độ chúng sanh. Kế tục lý tưởng giải thoát đó, hàng đệ tử Phật cần tiếp tục duy trì mạng mạch Phật Pháp cho đến hôm nay.

Phật Giáo du nhập vào đất Việt Giao Châu từ những bước chân đầu tiên của Lịch Đại Tổ Sư, từ đó Phật Giáo đã hòa nhập vào sự phát triển theo lịch sử thăng trầm cùng dân tộc VN.

Hiến Chương của Giáo Hội Phật Giáo Việt Nam Thống Nhất Hải Ngoại tại Úc Đại Lợi – Tân Tây Lan đã minh định rõ lập trường:  “Giáo Hội không đặt sự tồn tại của mình trong vị thế cá biệt mà đặt mình trong sự tồn tại của dân tộc và nhân loại”.

 Ngày nay đất nước đang đứng trước nguy cơ xâm lược của ngoại bang cường quốc Phương Bắc Trung Cộng. Mang trên mình sứ mạng của người đệ tử Phật và cũng là một con dân của đất nước, không cho phép chúng ta bình tâm tọa thị, nhìn cơ đồ của tổ quốc đang bị điêu linh, sự bất nhẫn nhìn kẻ mạnh hiếp kẻ yếu, sự bất công của tàn bạo, độc tài, chà đạp giá trị nhân phẩm con người.

Toàn thể Đại Biểu tham dự Đại hội Khoáng Đại Kỳ 6 của Giáo Hội Phật Giáo Việt Nam Thống Nhất Hải Ngoại Tại Úc Đại Lợi-Tân Tây Lan từ ngày 20 đến 22 tháng 9 năm 2019 tại Tu Viện Quảng Đức, Melbourne Victoria:

ĐỒNG THANH QUYẾT NGHỊ

1/ Tri ân và bảo vệ đất nước Úc Đại Lợi đã cưu mang. Chúng ta nên đóng góp tâm lực vun bồi và phát triển ngày càng hưng thịnh theo tinh thần của Phật Giáo.

2/ Giáo Hội đẩy mạnh chương trình đào tạo, huấn luyện, tu học, hoằng dương đạo pháp, hướng dẫn tu tập cho quần chúng biết quy hướng Tam Bảo.

3/ Giáo Hội khuyến thỉnh toàn thể Phật tử giữ vững niềm tin, duy trì đạo đức hầu xây dựng bản thân và xã hội.

4/Giáo Hội lên án hành động xâm lấn lãnh thổ, lãnh hải Việt Nam do phía Trung Cộng âm mưu chủ động.

5/ Giáo Hội yêu cầu Nhà cầm quyền Hà Nội phóng thích tất cả tù nhân chính trị, các nhà tranh đấu cho nhân quyền, các nhà lãnh đạo tôn giáo và sớm thực hiện thể chế đa nguyên, pháp trị.

6/ Giáo Hội dấn thân, liên kết, hổ trợ các phong trào người Việt Nam tại Úc và khắp nơi, tranh đấu cho nhân quyền và các quyền tự do căn bản khác.

Congress Resolutions

More than 26 centuries ago, the Enlightened One had at heart the best interests of gods and humans, the internal peace and deliverance of all sentient beings. He left his royal life of luxury in search for the way of salvation for sentient beings. In the footstep of his liberation ideal, Buddhist followers need to maintain the life blood of the Dharma today and beyond.

Buddhism reached the ancient Vietnamese land of Giao Chau through the footsteps of our early Great Patriarchs. Since then Buddhism had penetrated and progressed with the ebbs and flows of our nation’s history.

The Constitution of the Unified Overseas Vietnamese Buddhist Congregation of Australia-New Zealand has stated explicitly:

“The Congregation does not place its existence in isolation from, but within the continued existence of our nation and humankind”

Today, our nation is facing the perils of invasion from a hegemonic northern Communist China. As duty-bound Buddhist followers and Vietnamese citizens we cannot allow ourselves to watch, from the sides, the possible destruction of our national heritage, the spectacles of the oppressors crushing the oppressed, the injustices flowing from cruelty, dictatorship and violation of human values and dignity.

All delegates participating in the Sixth Congress of the Unified Vietnamese Buddhist Congregation of Australia-New Zealand from 20 to 22 September 2019 at the QuangDuc Monastery, Melbourne city, in the State of Victoria

In unison resolved:

1. To express our gratitude and defend Australia as the country that has given us shelter and protection. We shall contribute our mental and physical strength to nurture, develop and bring about greater prosperity to Australia in accordance with the spirit of Buddhism.

2. The Congregation will accelerate programs to train, educate, promote the Dharma and to provide spiritual guidance so that the people would take refuge in the Three Jewels

3. The Congregation encourages Buddhist followers to keep their faith, maintain moral standards in order to improve self and society.

4. The Congregation condemns the invasion of land, sea areas of Vietnam by Communist Chinese malevolent policies.

5. The Congregation demands that the Hanoi Government releases all political prisoners, human rights activists and religious leaders and speedily implement political reforms to achieve pluralist democracy and the rule of law.

6. The Congregation will engage, liaise with and support movements by Vietnamese in Australia and in other places which struggle for human rights and other basic freedoms.
